A stable place to live creates room for what comes next.

Our mission is to solve hidden homelessness by creating affordable and efficient housing solutions. We turn underutilized assets into attainable homes, with community at the center of the vision.

The story behind MicroLiving

03 / Our approach

Three disciplines.
One delivery model.

MicroLiving coordinates planning, construction partners, and project oversight around the same housing goal.

01

Development
planning.

From strategic vision to a workable plan.

Connect underutilized land, housing configurations, community needs, and project requirements before construction begins.

02

General
contracting.

Execution with a coordinated team.

Bring construction partners together around a defined scope, schedule, and shared quality expectations.

03

Construction
management.

Oversight that connects the pieces.

Coordinate delivery, track progress, and use quality checkpoints to keep the work aligned with the project plan.

04 / A scalable model

Start with a site.
Build a repeatable model.

A development approach designed to grow—from a single infill lot to a wider community program.

06 / What makes us different · Why us, why now

Not just a builder.
A complete housing
delivery platform.

Instead of asking partners to connect every piece themselves, MicroLiving brings development, construction coordination, financing alignment, and community partnerships into one approach.

01

Off-site construction.

A delivery approach designed to make construction more efficient through coordinated off-site production.

02

Repeatable products.

Standardized home designs provide a starting point that can be used across projects.

03

Quality-gated delivery.

Verification comes before the next payment decision, not after the problem has moved downstream.

04

Budget & schedule alignment.

Connect scope, milestones, and funding decisions before committing to the next phase.

05

Agile project coordination.

Keep partners connected as decisions, site conditions, and project needs evolve.

06

About MicroLiving Midwest

The opportunity
is already here.

See the potential.
Build the possibility.

Underutilized land. Mission-driven organizations. People who need a stable place to live. MicroLiving connects those pieces through a coordinated housing delivery model.

Untapped possibility.

The starting point

What communities have.
What communities need.

MicroLiving Midwest’s mission is to transform underutilized assets into attainable housing through scalable construction delivery.

Our starting point is the potential in resources that already exist: a parcel of land, an institutional holding, a funding partnership, or an organization ready to bring a housing vision to life.

Our role is to connect the plan, the right execution partners, and a disciplined delivery process—so those resources can work toward a shared community goal.

The scale of the opportunity

Planning context from the supplied 2026 project materials.

17,000+

vacant lots in Kansas City,

These are figures reported in the supplied 2026 website / pitch-deck snapshot, not a verified current inventory. Original studies, definitions, and measurement periods were not supplied.

Two organizations. Distinct roles.

Housing delivery.
Community support.

MicroLiving Midwest and Embrace Your Shine work together in the campus model, but they do different work.

Construction & development coordination

MicroLiving Midwest.

Coordinates the physical housing project—from development planning to construction partners, project oversight, and quality-gated delivery.

MicroLiving orchestrates execution and connects payment decisions to verified work through the go/no-go structure.

Community services & fiscal partnership

Embrace Your Shine.

Brings the resident-facing homes, community, and pathway programming described in the campus vision.

In the supplied campus model, Embrace Your Shine is identified as the grant-receiving fiscal agent. Its community services are distinct from MicroLiving’s construction offering.

A partnership—not an exclusive model. Other organizations can work with MicroLiving. Each project’s roles, community services, and funding relationships are established around that project’s needs.

Embrace Your Shine’s campus vision

Homes. Community. Pathway.

These belong to the community-services story—not MicroLiving’s construction service menu.

Homes

The campus concept describes compact, 320-square-foot cottages for young people ages 16–30. MicroLiving’s role is the physical housing delivery; resident-facing programming belongs with the community partner.

Community

Integrated workspaces and a community garden are part of the proposed campus environment—places to work, grow, and connect.

Pathway

Pathway to Purpose is the personal-development bootcamp described in the campus vision. This is Embrace Your Shine programming, not a MicroLiving construction service.

MicroLiving orchestrates execution by bringing development planning, construction partners, project oversight, and quality-gated payments into the same model.

How we build

The right partners.
The right checkpoints.

The framework is not limited to Embrace Your Shine. MicroLiving can coordinate delivery for other mission-driven organizations, with roles established for each project.

01

The go / no-go structure

Then release payment.

02

GO / Verified

NO-GO / Not verified

Hold. Resolve. Recheck.

Address the issue and return for verification before the associated payment is released.

Illustrative explanation of the go/no-go model. Project-specific scopes, verification requirements, authorities, and payment terms must be documented for each engagement. This is not a guarantee of cost, schedule, or investment performance.

Start here

Let’s talk about
your assets
and your goals.

Start a conversation

A little more clarity

A model designed
to work with you.

Discuss your project
Do we need to work through Embrace Your Shine?

No. The Embrace Life Cottage Campus is one partnership configuration. The MicroLiving model can also be used by other entities, with responsibilities and services established for each project.

What does MicroLiving coordinate?

The approach connects development planning, general contracting coordination, construction management, execution partners, and quality checkpoints. The project scope determines the exact responsibilities.

How are milestone payments handled?

Under the go/no-go structure, payment release follows verification by the Quality Control Officer. Work that does not pass the checkpoint returns for resolution and another review before the associated payment is authorized.

Can the model start with a single site?

Yes. The scalable approach spans single units, multi-unit clusters, and community-scale programs. Suitability, scope, and project terms still need to be established for the particular site.
